Copyright
Copyright protection includes, among other things, artistic and literary works, musical or stage works, computer programs. The basic principle is that it is the author who controls to what extent his created work may be copied or performed. Swedish legislation also provides protection for certain related rights, such as music producers' right to recordings.
Copyright is inherently formless, which means that no registration is required and that the protection arises at the moment when someone has created a work worthy of protection.
Copyright protection is obtained when a work reaches a certain originality, work height. The work height requirement varies depending on the type of work in question. There is thus no copyright protection for ideas, but it is their expression that is covered.
© the symbol is usually used in connection with copyrighted works to emphasize that it is a copyright.
